MDONS Congress Scholarship

 The Metropolitan Detroit chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society offers a  Congress scholarship for MDONS members. The amount of the scholarship is a maximum of $1500 to apply toward registration, travel to and from Congress and lodging, and per diem expenses. This is a self-nominated award. 

The winning candidate will have demonstrated a commitment to oncology nursing and will intend to continue in oncology sharing the information from Congress with his/her peers.

 Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidate must demonstrate a dedication to oncology nursing.
  • Candidate must be a current member of the Metro Detroit Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society.
  • Candidate must be able to attend the Congress specific for the award 
  • The candidate must submit receipts for reimbursement of expenses. 

 INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Each candidate must submit the following:

a)   A Short essay of 250 words or less that describes:

i) Your professional goals and how attending Congress will help you realize these goals

ii) Your commitment to the Oncology Nursing Society and your involvement with MDONS (Attends monthly meetings; Participation in Committees; Office, etc.)

iii) Any community service related to nursing. 

b) A completed nominee information form

2.  All materials should be typed and submitted together

 Application deadline: February 15
